    no one has to discard the plug if it doesn't stay in the grip. just drill a small hole all the way across the bottom of the grip and through the plug. find a small stainless steel pin slightly bigger diameter than the hole and shorter than the width of the grip and press in.

    when it comes time to remove, it can be started out with a bullet tip and then removed with your fingers or a multitool if it's really tight.

    not the best solution but it is one...
    never push a wrench...

    I know this thread is OLD! But are the grips sold but lmt the same as the "ergo" grip sold by places like midway that are 1/3 less?

    I’ve found the LMT grips to have a more aggressive texture but otherwise the same.

    You can buy the aggressive texture Ergo grips, you just have to look for them. I believe it is SKU: 4009-(B)-BK for the black version, 4009-(B)-DE for the dark earth version.
