I do not have experience with the rifle itself but I do have experience with most of the individual components.

The latest incarnation of this rifle seems to be quite a bit better than the original incarnation. The Pro-Mag magazines aren't really recommended for serious use. I am not a fan of any forward mounted upper rail that is not an UltiMAK, due to co-witness or lack thereof. Everything else looks prettty good.

But that is a lot of damn money for an AK.

To keep it out of the way when loading/unloading mags. I am guessing because of the size of AK mags.

It is an expensive AK but has alot of features. Also looks to have a few options for stocks/rails.

For that kind of money your better off finding a Krebs KTR-03S or doing a Saiga conversion and adding your choice of parts. I've bought 2 KTR's for not much more than that rifle in the last year.

It is a Krebs gun. I checked their website and priced an ak103 and some of the parts and quickly went over the price of this model.

Im not big on alot of the AR crossover stuff for the AK.

What's the benefit of the canted forward grip?

Get into a boxing stance and you'll see. Gives you a more natural fighting stance than conventional VFGs

And as someone said it gets out of the way for mag changes.

Might the ProMag have something to do with 922r compliance?
