    Odd... my entry comment does not seem to have appeared in the comments there. Maybe since I'm newly registered my first comment has to be approved by a mod? That's not uncommon practice for a Wordpress site so maybe it's sitting in limbo.

    ETA: yep, it eventually posted. =)

    Beyond the standard 16"bbl 26" overall length we've got the following.

    No bayonet lug

    Muzzle device must be permanantly affixed. Blind pin with weld over has been acceptable for some years now though there is no actual court precident or clear definition in the statutes.
    Pretty much goes by the old ATF AWB standard.

    If no muzzle device is used, then end of barrel must not have threads.

    No telescoping or folding stocks. Pinning and or epoxying so one can never move it again
    (state troopers WILL beat/mortar it on the ground)

    No standard capacity magazines manufactured after 9/94, only 10 rd neuter boxes, or preban standard capacity.

    Actual text from penal laws:
    § 265.00, definitions, Section 22.

    "Assault weapon" means (a) a semiautomatic rifle that has an
    ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the
    following characteristics:
    (i) a folding or telescoping stock;
    (ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of
    the weapon;
    (iii) a bayonet mount;
    (iv) a flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a
    flash suppressor;
    (v) a grenade launcher

    § 265.00, definitions, Section 23.

    "Large capacity ammunition feeding device" means a magazine, belt,
    drum, feed strip, or similar device, manufactured after September
    thirteenth, nineteen hundred ninety-four, that has a capacity of, or
    that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than ten
    rounds of ammunition; provided, however, that such term does not include
    an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating
    only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.

    Really awesome of you guys and all involved in this. Thanks for the link. I have still yet to attend such a class and with all that is being offered it's foolish not to enter.

    Again thanks for the link.

    WWG replaced some of the trigger components then hand filed and polished it all. Took out the clunky creep and lightened it up a little.

    Most if not all guns shipped to NY are in violation of state law. Its up to the ffl you ship it to, to make it ny compliant. If that means removing the upper from the lower or taking the but stock off the lower thats fine to. I see this all the time. No law agains selling of transfering a lower with out a butscock attached and once the upper is off the lower no law applys.

    That's pretty much the feedback I'm getting everywhere. This is now open to NY residents. I'll update the info on my site shortly.
