I spent a good hours searching YouTube last night for a decent video on removing the trigger group, and came up empty. One good video on how to get rid of the grittiness, but nothing on removing and replacing the trigger group. I’m sure there is a good video out there, I was just unable to find it. Usually, when I get into stuff like that with springs, I don’t do so well.

JP Enterprise's yellow spring kit (hammer spring, trigger spring and disconnector spring for ~$11) is the most cost-effective way I have found to make a crappy AR trigger good.

    This should help too.

I saw a quick thing on the JP Enterprise's yellow spring kit and a good video on trigger removal and installation this morning. One 3 part video by Geissele himself. Seems like I’ve heard good things about Geissele triggers. Doesn’t mean I’m going to attempt it, but I’m certainly going to watch the video, study my gun, and watch the video again and learn all about it. I’ll decide later if I want to attempt it.

Guys, let's keep it on topic: "Having problems zeroing iron sights"
If you want to discuss pulling the FCG, feel free to search around and if nothing answers your questions, start a new thread.
Keeping the thread on topic increases the usefulness of the thread (and the "search" function) and attracts people that know what they are talking about as they usually look at the thread title to determine if it's contents are something they want to participate in or have useful information on (which is also a reason that appropriatly titling a thread is useful).

Sorry. My fault. I was wondering about improving the trigger and the impact it would have on "Having Problems Zeroing Iron Sights". Didn’t even realize I had totally changed the topic. Hope I haven’t messed it up for the OP.

I took a class this weekend and Failure2stop nailed it, it was the rear sight that was giving me the problem. Instructors couldn't understand why my groups were so random. We switched the rear sight to a magpul mbuis and that made the difference. While I have a lot to work on my groups were steadily tightening up. Bottom line is I am going to be buying a round peep sight. Anybody interested in buying a slightly used diamond rear sight? J/k. Thanks for all the info.

I am a noob at AR 15 also. I shot my rifle for the first time Thursday. I was having some problems getting a decent group. I was looking at the pics of me shooting, and I was holding it traditional rifle style with the stock extended all the way back. I then started to think my way of holding the rifle was incorrect, which was confirmed after looking at online videos and forums. Next time I'm out I am gonna try nose to charging handle with the chicken wing grip. I hope this help you out OP.

Nose to the charging handle isn't the only answer. Lamb, Costa, Falla, Vickers don't...

The gun doesn't care how you hold it, it will launch the bullets where the sights tell them to go.
"Proper" grip and stance simply stabilizes the weapon and reduce the effects of recoil.
If you are shooting for precision (as you should be when zeroing) you should be in the prone, and if that is not an option, from a rested bench.
