Uses for empty toilet paper rolls?

Curious if anyone has good uses for empty TP rolls. It's pretty easy to collect a couple dozen of them over the course of some months and it's a shame to just send them all to the recycling bin if there's anything better one could use them for.

Have you any suggestions or tips for their use?

they are great for starting fires with
Red Rider BB gun - Lever Action
    Daisy Model 10 BB gun
    Crosman CO2 BB Pistol
    Daisy F16 Slingshot
    McDonalds Straw and spitballs

Can you believe people actually list thier guns as a signature?

I throw them to the cats who knock'em a round before shredding them. I just pick up all the pieces the next day and it gives the cats something to do between the occasional flying bug chase.

(I know - damn few, if any, on this list:)

Pop the tube through the cage bars, and then feed the beginning of a long strand of paper towel though the tube. They will love pulling the towel through the tube and then shredding it! (Part of the job description of being a parrot is to turn big things into little things, i.e., they LOVE to shred things. Better this than items you'd prefer they not shred:) Don't ask me how I know:)

We use them as fire starters for our Boy Scout troop. We put dryer lint in them and then fold the side and tie with cooking string to seal the ends till use.

    Good idea,

I'll have to try that for the next camping trip.

I use them to keep 550 bundled up in my packs... either wrap it around the tube or just loop it and slide the tube over it... kinda gives you 2 purposes... keeps things organized and gives you another way to carry a fire starter easily without taking up space

You can also dip them in wax to make a better water tight seal if you are going on a deep backpacking trip. I know I'm sending some up with my son for his scout trip this weekend.

    Use them for mouse traps.

hang half of it off the the edge of a countertop with trash can below. Put a bit of peanut butter on the edge of the roll thats hanging and when ralphie walks to the edge to get the PB, into the trash he goes. Best to use a metal trash can as the little bastards will chew through just about anything to get out. Paper towel rolls also work well.

Back in the day, I knew people that would put dryer sheets in the tube, and then use the tube as a "terminator" for exhaled mary jane smoke. Just saying
