I do not know what changed but I am now seeing them for about $105-130.
I know a lot of people have complained about the old pricing which if I remember correctly was about twice what they are now.

They were typically about $300.
If you shop around, they (the new ones) can be had for about $100-125.
Of course, they are out of stock everywhere...

$105? Wow, where are you guys finding these at. I would love to have one (i have three rails) but have never wanted to pay the $300 or what ever it is. I would buy one if its $105. Thanks for any info you have. Happy shooting.

Here's one for $100...out of stock though.
Just google "barrel nut wrench" and the part number. They're out there, just not in stock.
Its because Knight's has lowered the price. The MSRP is now $116 per Casey.

That's more reasonable... not as reasonable as it could be, but reasonable. I've heard of some of them breaking for crying out loud.![]()

Muzzle punch optional.
Be sure to use the KAC rail/upper block in conjunction with the URX wrench. If you don't the rail will spin when you torquing the bbl nut.

I like the design (and the cost) of the YHM rail/receiver block better. I'm sure KAC used their block when they built the upper on my SR15, and the URX-III is a tick off of the upper. Just enough to be annoying.
I have a PRI receiver block that will bridge a upper and a rail together, but it really doesn't bridge the two tightly enough.
Question(s) for anyone that knows, can the URX Aluminium barrel nuts be reused, and are the new style two pin KAC gas blocks pressed on? Is there an "at home" way of removing them if they are?
Weird on your factory rail being off. The rail may actually have loosened.
I've reused KAC bbl nuts. I use red instead of blue loctite. I've never had any issues removing and KAC gas block and I've removed at least 50 of them.

Interesting about the gas block. I always read they were pressed on and required a press to get them off.
I had a Noveske gas block that was extremely tight to a Noveske barrel. A couple of minutes in the oven to warm the parts and it slid off easily.
I was actually thinking about getting the rifle Cerakoted, I'm really digging the Burnt Bronze color.
