New IWB holster for my LCR

Up until recently I've pretty much carried my LCR in a pocket holster but I started thinking about carrying it IWB during the summer or on motorcycle rides. I asked Chris at Spectre Koncealment Systems to make me a tuckable, IWB, kydex holster. A week later I had the holster in my hands and so far I'm impressed! Quality, design and fit are on par with my more expense (and longer wait times) kydex holsters.

My first impression of the Spectre is very good. I also had them make me an OWB holster for my Gen4 G22 which is equally nice and incorporates some unique design aspects. I'll get pictures posted of it shortly.

    Thanks

    Marc,

Thanks for the kind words. I am really just the guy that deals with sales. Jwyank on here is the guy that bends the kydex. He has taken many different designs and updated them with his own style. This includes doing an Askins Avenger style holster from a picture in the IDPA rulebook. He never ceases to amaze me with his dedication and ability to turnout a quality product. I have used nothing but his kydex designs since last fall. I expect great things from him.

If you have something you are looking to have made shoot me a PM or visit the site Spectre Koncealment Systems.

    Holsters and customer service

Two years ago I received an LCR for my birthday and have carried in a pocket holster ever since. While viewing these threads I saw the holster M4arc got from Spectre. I liked what I saw and called Chris at Spectre. I left a message and Chris called back within minutes. I explained what I wanted and also asked if he could make a flashlight holder for me. He took the time to ask questions so that I would get the holster I wanted, not the holster he thought I wanted. Over the next few days Chris and I exchanged e-mails with Chris asking questions so the holster was built exactly as I wanted it. The turn around time was about one week for the holster and light holder. I went to the range several times to get used to the holster and this past Monday went through a formal qualification. The holster conceals extremely well, is comfortable for all day wear and you can draw with a full firing grip with out any problems. Chris made the holster in the tuckable version so it can be worn when dressed for an evening out, or in my case, my daughters orchestra concert. (first chair cello). If you are in the market for a kydex holster, give Chris at spectrekoncealment a call. You won't be disappointed. And thank you Chris for the excellent work.

    Doug,
It was my pleasure to work with you for your holster. Joe did a great job with both the holster and the light holder. We are currently reworking our web site to allow full E-commerce and update the pictures as well. More new products are on the horizon as well. Including some new stuff in some crazy cool colors or lack of color as it is.

Thanks again for the chance to make something great.

I've got a similar design from Custom Carry Concepts on the way for my LCR. I usually pocket carry it but thought having a tuckable option would be a good idea. Nice work on the one pictured above.

I will be getting an LCR and was wondering how you liked pocket carrying it? Could you please tell me the pros and the cons of pocket carrying this revolver?

That clear holster looks really cool. Is that going to be a regular offering?

After I buy the Crimson Trace Laser Grips for my S&W 642-1 down the road, I will be looking for a holster. I've been carrying it in a pocket holster for now, but want an IWB for it too.

    Sorry for the delay

The clear is known as Mirage. We stock it but there is an upcharge of $5 dollars to the standard holster fee of $55 plus $7.50 shipping for USPS Priority. Turn around has been running about 5-7 days from the day funds are in hand to a holster out at the post office. Let me know if you are interested.
