Im planning on a ta33h to go on mine if i ever find one!
Extra question. Will i have a problem using a "carbine" lower with a 20" upper? Im thinking about the buffer weight

This is also pretty good advise as you can get lmt lowers with stock a2 stocks. If you want to order directly from bcm you can get their lower with an a2 stock. I really like LMT's stuff as well(as I'm sure a lot of people on here do).
Personally I'd just find a quality lower and just swap the adjustable stock for an a2 stock as it would be quicker. When I did my bcm rifle that was the only option as they didn't sell the lowers with anything else.
If you want to do the A5 right style you will want the A5 stock kit. The receiver extension length, the buffer, and spring of the A5 kit is what was found through the USMC A5 trials as being the most reliable. (Though I'd like to see an H-buffer, or H2 buffer stand trials)
You do not, however, need the Vltor stock. I bought the Vltor stock to comply with my M16A5 clone, but let me tell ya, a SOPMOD stock by B5 Systems or an LMT works like a charm and is a better stock in my opinion.
I'm happy as a flying muther****er with my M16A5 BCM milspec parts clone!

Is Palmetto State Armory anywhere on your radar? Just an option if the money is burning a hole in your pocket. You can add a BCM BCG and CH to finish it off. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...hpt-upper.html
If I was building an M16A4 clone, I would have no problem with using a BCM 20" barrel if I couldn't find a Colt or FN barrel.
The 20" BCM Upper is back in stock at G&R Tactical.
