    Go fast gun?...

RRA 9mm upper with gas tube hole drilled in it. And M4 ramps.
    Daniel Defense 10.3'' LW barrel.
    KAC Triple Tap.
    KAC URX-3.1 8'' Rail.
    DD fixed sights.
Aimpoint T-1 4MOA on QD mount of your choice.
SureFire light on Gear Sector offset mount.
    KAC E3 lower.
    Colt CAR stock.
    JP low mass carrier.
    JP buffer, and spring.
    Tango Down BG-17.
    Noveske QD endplate.
SKD Drop Slider 1 point sling.

I think that's about as fast a setup as one can build. But maybe I'm missing the point of this thread.

rob_s, how many rounds do you have on your "go faster" config? I'm curious if you are still adjusting to your new setup.

    902 rounds including this session.

The biggest issue I had with the gun was seeing the damn Eotech reticule in the bright sunlight.

    That makes absolutely no sense.

How so? The fastest would be the lightest weight, easiest to control right?

How would an ultra-light, SBR not fit that niche?

I think it was implied that the carbine would be in 5.56 not a sub gun caliber.

Yeah. My suggestion was for a 5.56x45mm gun. Why else would you have a gas tube hole drilled in a 9x19mm upper? Rob even did it for an ultra-light build.

light weight does not equal easy to control. The 5.5 lbs AR I put together for teaching is probably the hardest to shoot AR that I own.

Hm. Is that based on recoil, or handling?
