First, news about this has been out since SHOT, if not longer.

Second, why not? Hornady makes zombie ammo. They're usually regarded as one of the best ammo makers in the market. It is gonna sell like crazy and EOTech is a business. The sight will be the same aside from the reticle, so why would it not be $500+ with all of their other sights? This is catering to their customers, if it was something you wanted you'd love them for it. Yes the zombie thing is a little out of hand, but its good business so good for them.

This zombie shit is getting out of hand. When a company like this, caters to that "certain group" of individuals deliberately, just wow.

What kills me is I know these will sell like hot cakes. The zombie craze has gone from dumb to full blown retarded.

From what I understand the reticules utilizing an LED, cant be made to produce exotic shapes. So I'm pretty sure AimPoint wont pull this nonsense.
I think you overestimate the sophistication/intelligence of the average gun owner. IE., there are hundreds of thousands of dollars being spent for the Taurus Judge, Tapco products, and neon lights for the underside of cars...

Some of you guys let the stupidest shit piss you off WAY too much.

EoTech made a "zombie" optic for fun because it will sell. The purpose of a business is to make a profit and that is exactly what they are doing. It's not like they stopped making everything else.

Relax and don't take everything so damn seriously every second of the day.

Does the bullet go where you put the dot?

I've spent money on other things that people would think are stupid, but I got my enjoyment out of it, so it was worth it to me.

That being said, I wouldn't buy one as the reticle looks kind of "big". I'd be more concerned about issues like Iraqgunz is referring to. If the newer models are holding up, reliability wise, buy it if you want it, don't buy it if you don't.

    This ^^

So what if they make a model with a biohazard reticle? It's marketing and it will sell, and companies market to specific groups all the time. It doesn't mean you can't buy a "normal" Eotech if you don't like the zombie one.

Would I ever buy the zombie version? Hell no. But just because they have a zombie version, doesn't all of a sudden make them a non-serious and non-professional company.

Not for my money, stupid if you ask me. But, hey, if it sells, do it.

It's not hard to recognize the EOTech owners is it?

    But maybe it's just me...

The optic is calibrated for the Hornady Zombie ammo.

For the guys hating on the Zombie reticle: There's more to L-3 / EOTECH than the holographic sights. Their thermal viewers / sights are absolutely top notch. The CNVD-T, in particular, is an amazing product given its size and weight. The MTM's are also quite useful for a certain niche. Very grateful to have been able to use these products; they've increased our effectiveness and mobility greatly.

I could care less if this company want to sell a few Zombie reticle EOTECH's to the fantasy land crowd, as long as they keep producing incredible gear for the task and market that really matters. If the silly Zombie stuff is going to help keep the company "in the black," and allow them to fund their R&D and production of more great gear (particularly their Thermal line), then I say bring on the Zombie Apocalypse. The zombie reticle in no way deligitimizes the company. Supply and demand is what the market is based on...you can think the idea of a Zombie reticle is stupid personally (just as I do), but that doesn't mean EOTECH shouldn't supply that demand.

    Zombie optic/reticle and ammo....no thanks.

XPS 3-0 in FDE or Black...I'll take it.

This is from a T-1 owner....I just happened to get extended trigger time on my buddy's XPS this weekend. Decided to sell the T-1.
