Two things have changed since I posted my question yesterday. One is that I have read two reviews of this brand (Windham Weaponry). One was in "The American Rifleman", which I would call a trusted source. Both reviews found this brand to be a superior rifle at an affordable price. The other thing that changed is that I bought a Trijicon ACOG and tried it at the range yesterday. My WW MPC can shoot a whole lot better than I can, and may be one of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned. I'll need more time and testing to be sure just how accurate it is.

I should think that people who want to hold themselves up as being experts on this platform would want to at least investigate this brand. It is certainly worth a good look if nothing else.
First - Define accuracy in terms of 'what you've owned'. What is your metric of comparison? Your WW is more accurate than your old DPMS/Oly/Colt/BCM/etc... What groups have you achieved with the WW, with what ammunition?

Second - for your benefit, some facts, before this thread gets uglier. I did some digging/inquiring with them a while ago, no idea why. Just got curious. They may have improved some old BM short-comings, but they half-assed it IMO. It's also not a surprise that they're priced much higher ($1,295) than other, proven, quality brand names:

Using gun magazines to provide unbiased gun reviews? People still do that? This guy must be over 60 years old.
Why do the loudest do the least?

Of course you don't Rob, you have evolved far beyond such things. In fact you yourself have become the answer.

Considering Grant's good and helpful nature, I don't know why you are still allowed to berate and indignify new members the way you constantly do.

You should look at the slow motion comparison that was done with buffers on Youtube.
Well, I'm a fan of Colt even though it doesn't much of anything over BCM or other high quality AR brands. That is, one can be a 'fan' of a product without being exclusive in one's attitude towards similar products. I am a fan of the T-2 because it is a good buffer, not because I think it 'better' than other buffers.

That said, it is still unique in that it uses pure Tungsten powder rather than solid weights. Whether or not this confers any sort of an advantage (it probably does not), it is still unique.

So you see? No need to get spun up
Apparently not the owner of Spikes Tactical

Ok, but need this really be the only reason?

Me ignoring your posts will have nothing to do with your potential adverse effect to new membership, which of course has absolutely nothing to do with me personally. As far as reporting you, under the circumstances that would be cowardly.

I think that the more time you spend here the more you (and others) have a tendency to label familiar topics as redundant, which is fine. But just like you suggest I refrain from commenting if I don't like what I see, so can you. And cripes the guy's question about the WW wasn't unreasonable in an AR forum.

Rob's that gruff old uncle that couldn't go 2 words without dropping an F- bomb. Rude, crude, but sometimes insightful. Folks will either be adults and brush it off or act like children and whine about the mean man on the interwebs.

More like that guy who thinks he knows everything and thinks anyone who disagrees is an idiotic fool all because he was made fun of in school.

But even though the man pisses me off most the time, I have learned a lot from his threads.
