Either way, it's fun to watch the PSA/Spike's banter on TOS. I love PSAs new product announcements, Spike's always shows up and tries to call them out.

Reading all their specs, they all say milspec? Am I missing something?

If you're paying $900+ then you should just get a Colt, BCM, DD, LMT, or Noveske for around the same money if you look hard enough.
Interesting. Why would you say this?

I guess that depends on your definition of wonderful. Wonderful is not a verb I'd use in the same sentence with Spikes or PSA.

Save up the $ and buy a known quality rifle such as Colt, BCM, DD, KAC, Noveske, or LaRue.

Do some research on military requirements for an M4C. ST's QC is not up to par with other top tier manufacturers, but this does not mean they don't meet military specifications.

Colt is the only one who can claim MILSPEC. However, those that have BCM carbines will tell you (I am one of them) that they are excellent and well worth the price.

Daniel Defense and Noveske are aslo very good as well.

There are plenty of reasons not to buy a Spikes rifle. Overall quality of materials and construction (read: Performance) is not one of them. By all means, fault Spikes for Tom's petty bullshit on ARFCOM. Fault them for their zombie / color fill styling. Fault them for their Affliction-esque marketing. Fault them for making fake cans. Fault them for their idiotic fan-base.

But if you want to maintain credibility, you (nobody in particular) shouldn't claim that their AR's are somehow inferior to the other quality options out there.

ETA: I traded a four wheeler for a Spikes AR-15 about 2 years ago. I wouldn't have purchased a Spikes but I was clearly making out on this deal so I took it. It's quality. All the t's or crossed and the i's dotted.
