Apart from the change in location of the battery compartment, are there any differences between the current M4 and the upcoming model?

FJB is the best for that.

but IIRC the M4B has a stiffer and somewhat better protected rheostat as well as the move of the battery box housing (with the rheostat) to the 5O'Clock postion vice the 1'
