    Supplmeantal Smoothies

I have started drinking smoothies in the morning before or on the way to work becasue I don't seem to have time for much else. I was wondering if anybody else did this and what repiecs they use. I don't want to get burned out on the same thing everyday. I also I am not the biggest fan of protien shakes( powdered store bought one). i wanted a more natural smoothie if that is possiable.

Latley I have been eating 1/3 cup oatmael , 1cup milk (skim), 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter and 1/2 to 1 whole bananna. i also started adding spinch.

Was hoping I could get some new recpies from someone. preferably high protien?

Add some flavor of yogurt, and you could put a small scoop of protein powder in, and everything else will mask its taste.

Half a bag of frozen strawberries
    half a banana
Full fat raw milk, enough to get consistency right (generally 3-4 cups) if raw is difficult to come by I opt for a pasturized, non-homogenized whole milk
one or two scoops of whey protein isolate
    RmG

You can add low fat cottage cheese and egg whites to your shake, along with any kind of fruit really . The cottage cheese, combined with the oatmeal you put in thickens it so it " sticks to the ribs" so to speak. Just keep experimenting and changing it up. You can throw in some whey protein powder and you probably won't even notice it.

    Here's my recipe:

I don't recommend replacing whole food with an MRP, but there are times that's all I have time for, and made correctly, they are a healthy option vs nothing or something crappy like a candy bar, etc.

Thanks for all the info, I need to try and get some fish or flax seed oil. I am trying to stay away from anything in a powder. I wanted to try using real food.

Anyhow today I tried 1 hard boiled egg, two handfuls of strawberries, 1/2 bananna and 3 large spoonfuls of yogurt and some skim milk. i was suprised that it did not taste bad with egg. It smelled funny when I first pulled the lid back. But that went away.

As big a fan of whole food as i am, whey has various health benefits seen with no other protein source, so that's one of many reasons it's always my protein source in a MRP like that for me, but nothing wrong with your approach either.

My favorite is a chocolate protein mix with organic peanut butter, bananas, and a bit of honey. Simply delicious!

I am a big fan of whole foods as well but I do use
Shakeology from Beachbody, its makes a great chocolate shake with ice and water or any kind of milk ( rice, almond or coconut)
