    Per your info BCM 20" & mid to long I'm assuming it's a 5.56.
So 1,000 yd. is NOT going to happen.

I'd go w/ 1x6, 1.5x5/6, 2.5x10 there are several decent scopes for the $ that will get you what you want.

    I would not go w/ a TA55 given your criteria & question.

So what would you suggest a Trijicon Accupiont 1-5x30 with a LaRue SPR mount?
Or just keep the TA31F and save the money for ammo and more training?

If you want a long range 5.56 platform, it's hard to beat the 2.5-10 magnification range spectrum. You'll likely find yourself wanting more than 4X or 5X as you push out to 700M. What is the most you want to spend on this, including both the optic and mount?

If you want a long range 5.56 platform, it's hard to beat the 2.5-10 magnification range spectrum for a good combination of magnification, size, and weight. Not trying to change the subject.
But are the Night Force Benchrest scopes a good quality scope?
I will be shooting from 100 to 300yds.
Been looking at these plus Trijicon ACOG's, Accupoint.
Trying to decide which would bevbest suitable for my BCM 20".

Nightforce scopes are good to go, although on an AR go with the NXS models not the benchrest....I have a NF 1-4 on one AR, its a great little optic. I guessing from your posts, something in the 2-10 power range would fit the bill for you. As for your original question, I have a TA55 on my 6.8SPC build. Its a great piece of glass, kinda big but the optics are fantastic. If this is mainly for longer ranges, I'd go with the variable though..

Has anybody tried the Trijicon ACOG TA31ECOS with RMR on top?

How about the Accupiont 2.5-10x56 with LaRue 104-30 mount?

This has been covered many times.
Personal preference is the largest determining factor with optics. Personally, I find that 4x doesn't have a significant enough advantage over 1x to justify the weird positioning and altered presentation.
Further, the RMR, while more durable and robust than other DR type mini red dot sights, is still more susceptible to failure than other options.
I have a strong preference for 1-4/1-6 with a good reticle.
That being said, there are good dudes with impeccable creds that prefer the COG/RMR over other options.
