    Matt Davis built that gun.

super accurate Nowlin barrel, Harison short trigger, and of course Heinie sights.

I must've corrected my post as you were posting. Love your taste in 1911's David

Jim Hoag built Longslide, built on a Colt Commercial. You'd never be able to tell where he welded the two slides together. Checkering on the frontstrap, squared triggerguard, commander hammer, and rear of the slide. French borders and slide serrations, Bomars, Genuine Swenson safeties, and a barrel from Irv at Bar-Sto. Beavertail is one of Jim's handmade ducktail jobs.

I own some great 1911's, built by some of the best. But I don't think any are as impressive as this.

That grip safety fit appears to be a little bit raggedy to me.

That long slide is a true thing of beauty. Fine work indeed.
"You cannot play fair with people who don't care if you get wiped off the map. You don't have to hate everyone who isn't part of your tribe, but it is foolish to keep caring about people who don't care about you."

    See you soon, AC.

I re-worked the magwell a bit and softened the safety levers
