This is my own 'Tier One' rear sight. It is fabricated in my shop in small numbers from pre-heat treated 4140 chrome moly tool steel.
I do modify Novak rear sights to a more useful configuration, but there are significant differences between a modified Novak and a Tier One.

Here are some pictures of my Springfield after I sent it to Bob at Fusion Firearms while I was home on R&R leave a few months ago. It looks better than I imagined. Now I just need to get home so I can actually shoot it. If everything goes good I'll probably take it out to U.S. Training Center when I go to the pistol/carbine class in November.

Wilson Combat wide safety, I think I'm going to go with the WC Narrow, its between the WC Wide and the tiny Colt safety that come on the gun.
Also have a WC drop in beaver tail coming as well.

Swapped out the original recoil spring with a new 16 lbs. spring, and got some Metalform mags. Shot a few hundred rounds of Aguila 130 gr. FMJ and a couple mags of Winchester 125 gr. Silvertip and she ran like a top, 100%.
I really like this old Colt, and glad I succumbed to temptation.
