Mr. Thomas is correct, the work was done by Mars Armament. The Smith and Alexander mag well was already blended to the frame by EGW and on the pistol when I bought it. I sent it to Mars for the lanyard, rear rounding and side bevels.

yes.
Im far from an expert, but imo, there is a huge difference.
The shwartz safety in the tle is very unreliable.

My friend John Harrison just completed this gun for his friend/client.

It's a nice big letter Series '70 the owner has sitting around and decided that he'd like a pistol that made him think about the good old days. He had some shooting memorabilia that had some designs that he fancied, so we had a little period engraving done to set off the S&W K sight and the other old school touches. Basically, it's a copy of one of Jeff Cooper's 1911s.

I prefer the Videcki Long Match specimen on a Custom NOVAK Combat Commander pictured below which is the original Trigger that was ripped off/copied.


Hard to find them these days but they are around and not unobtanium...
