"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
Thanks. That's what I was thinking, but they looked like micarta, not G-10. Must be the lighting.
Very nice! I had not seen the original trigger before. I like how he drilled the set screw through the hole of the 3 hole skeleton trigger. I like the traditional Videki Vickers/Yam trigger that is on my Vickers Recon.
I agree Rogers does some very nice work. I have seen a good bit of his stuff on LTW... He builds a nice hard use 1911...
John Harrison is my guy, but there are a dozen or so Master 1911 smiths that you can't go wrong with these days.
You have some very nice hard use 1911's...
Thank you Sir.
A passion of mine and character flaw....
I live it every day because I use and work w/ them.
Agreed, those are all VERY talented smith's and my reference was specifically only for the Golf ball type of work I know of or have seen to date.
All the other smith's you are immensely talented no doubt.
That Harrison DVC pictured above is flat out gorgeous etc.
Thank you!
I have always wanted a Colt 1911 and finally I have one. The fit and finish is perfect and it only had approx. 200 rounds through it and was a safe queen. The prior owner is a man who knows his Colts and took very good care of this one.
Thanks Wes!
