sff70, That Vickers Nighthawk is awesome.
There is a fight, that began before any of us were ever born. It will continue, long after we have retired, moved on, and left this world. It is a fight for the soccer mom next door, your mailman, the guy that bags your groceries, and most importantly, it is a fight for your family. We are in a daily battle not for land, not for resources or colonial controls...we are in a fight for our very way of life
sff70, that is the first Vickers Tactical with a Ed Brown beavertail. The reat of Vickers 1911's have a Wison beavertail installed.
Thanks, guys.
Was going to give the post the title, "Beauty and the Beast", but I think well worn guns are beautiful in their own way.
When I had NH build it, I spec'd a short trigger (vice the Vickers/Yam trigger), Ambi safety trimmed to clear CTC grips, and both CTC and Gunner Grips.
Found I don't prefer the CTCs, and changed the Heinie rear sight for a 10-8 rear sight.
Good observation on seeing that it's a Brown beavertail. Not sure what else they used.
When I ordered this pistol, it was prior to the $300 price increase. Given how it's performed, I think I got my money's worth.
I can't bear to treat the YoBo the way I've treated the NHC/VT, so it sits in the safe. I parted with a Heinie for the same reason.
Regards!

The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.
It's that simple.
Bought a GSG 1911 .22LR locally. 80% parts commonality with a real 1911, weighs the same as the Kimber. Just got it, havent shot it at the range yet
