I spent last night fitting an ambi-safety and set of walnut panels on my satin nickle Combat Commander. One like this was my first 1911 right out of high school in 1987. Like a dummy I traded it off in 90. I found this one for a song last year so I decided to snatch it up. More for nostalgia and the occasional range outing than to carry.
