Does that burn is hot as Manzanita?

Please send a cord of Manzanita, I'll test and forward the results

In accordance with rule 455.21.A3, this post does have to do with the above 1911. I have compensated many a 1911 in my time, mostly pre-2001 or so. I was surprised how much this comp kills the cycle of the gun. Granted it is bigger and heavier than some but there are those that are bigger..... I took a lot of weight out of it. Still it requires a lighter recoil spring for reliable operation. I had a lotta, lotta miles on a comped .38 Super years ago and often, for certain kinds of competition I would sometimes use factory .38 ACP 130 FMJ, it was like shooting a .22. But it did require a lighter recoil spring, nothing new there.... I guess it's just been that long since I put a compensator on a pistol and I was hoping the laws of physics mighta changed a little....

I'm no longer in California but I will tell you I've been worried my cast iron stove may melt.

Done for one hell of a guy as well as a dude that has been there and done it. Glad he is home and setting sights on the next chapter of his life.

    Enjoy,
