I’m assuming it’s a SA Gun. Correct me if I’m wrong. Is that a Lipsey? Tell a brother about your piece.

    Very nice
It is in fact the Lipseys exclusive Springfield Armory Combat Operator. It was available in both 9mm and .45acp. Either way the key points were standard 5" gun with their "operator" frame (railed), 25lpi front strap checkering, dawson FO front sight, 10-8 rear sight, single side safety, g10 grips, and tool steel ignition components.
I changed the trigger to a C&S short, curved unit, and put an extended mag release in (still baffles me that Springfield doesn't do this). Fortunately/unfortunately one of the previous owners of this gun put a square edge oversized firing pin stop in there. I'd love to have the factory one to compare contrast, but oh well.
Gun is great, I'm a sucker for grey. Bushing is a bit ill-fit. not barrel tight, but bushing/slide tight. And not consistently, only at certain points in rotation is it almost beyond finger tight.
Gonna call Deb at the custom shop next month and see about getting it refit.
