My first build that I did for a 2002 Christmas present for my father
Same pistol with an AR I built for him because he was jealous I had an AR 15 and he didn't.

Kimber (no firing pin safety) Stainless tuned by Scott Mulkerin. BTW, it's for sale.
The one on the left is my Colt .45 Combat Gov't model with polished ramp, NM solid barrel bushing, Wolff springs, Wilson Combat guide rod and fitted barrel link. It's just a plain Jane DIY pistol but I could beat my friend's Gold Cup with a match Barsto barrel, we switched guns and mine was still better than his.
The one on the right is my old school 80's IPSC rig which started from a Colt .45 Gov't model with Wilson Combat match barrel with compensator, 20 LPI front strap & 40 LPI trigger guard checkering, Bomar target sight, Wolff springs, Wilson Combat 2 pc guide rod, ambi safety, beavertail grip safety, extended mag release button and bevelled mag well, all work done by King's Gunworks in Glendale, CA.

Colt MKIV Series 80 Government Model SS is my 3 of 4 1911.
My last 1911 (for now) is a Colt MKIV Lightweight Officer's ACP model, reliability work by custom gunsmith, narrowed hammer spur, polished feed ramp, tuned extractor, aftermarket black wood grip and hex grip screws.
My trusty Kimber /BUL frame 14rd High cap with my own "Smithing" on the grip.
