yep... you hit it right. i got it from a guy selling all his stuff before moving for $300. I then changed out safety, pins and a few others. plan to change out hammer soon and non full length guide rod.
i then duracoated it matte black.

My new Officer's lightweight. I cranked about 150 rounds through it on Friday, including some crazy Federal Wadcuters (pictured). Various Hollowpoints and ball all worked fine. The Wadcutters were a no-go but that doesn't matter to me. I shot 100 rounds of ball today and the gun runs fine. I used standard Colt and Metalform 7 rounders. Next up, nightsights, beavertail and dehorning.

Derek, nice piece. What made you stick with the spur hammer and standard grip safety? It is kinda a "Retro Tactical" look so to speak.To get us back on track and to save the integrity of this thread.....more of the mut.
