I ordered a Patrol 3E yesterday and I called to confirm the FFL info. The guy who answered (Stephen maybe?) Said they just finished their contract run for the Colorado State Patrol and would be on a skeleton crew next week. I'm guessing they need a break. He did say the rifle should be in my hands by the end of the month.

I've talked with Stephen before, good guy. Sounds like they got hammered by that Colorado Patrol contract and need some time off. Well, I guess we can give them that

Motivated by Iraqgunz, I ordered an AR pistol by Sionics. Should arrive in a week or two.

Yeah I've called a handful of times and spoken to Stephen and Josh (I think that's right) asking silly questions about barrel profiles and such. Every communication I've had has been handled with the utmost professionalism and most importantly patience. Even while filling these big government contracts these guys will take the time to answer trivial questions from one random guy buying their lowest level rifle.

I have a Sionic’s 11.5” barrel on the way. I ordered it with a FSB and it has a .067” diameter gas port. They had a small run of these barrels they were testing with the .067”
gas port, and for my needs it should be perfect. I just like to have at least one of my AR’s to have a barrel mounted FSB. IMHO, besides having quality products at good prices, the people at Sionics Weapon Systems seem to be knowledgeable and squared away, easy to get a hold of and talk to and are very accommodating.

I bought the same barrel a few years ago for a pistol build and was very impressed. It was between Sionics and BCM, and I made the right call

I bought a gutless lower + some parts recently and completely agree. I probably asked more questions than I needed to and their communications were courteous and spot on.

I'm glad I did not let my distaste for pictograms and auto selector markings prevent me from buying the receiver.

the gutless lowers are one of their best items IMO... leaves out the 3 things that I ALWAYS change out on a pre-built lower. Pistol grip, butt stock and trigger. Great price too. I got some of their blems for $129.95 and couldn't be happier

I'm always very happy to see them put blems up for sale, esp lowers. Every time they blemish a product, an angel gets it wings.

It can still be done, but to be honest we were seeing such a shift away from FSB stuff (especially on the LE side) that we just didn't prioritize it.

Does anyone know what happened to their Patrol 0 line? I’d like to get one of them in a 11.5” upper but seems like they don’t list them anymore.
