Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Sionic's barrels made by Green Mountain? GM sells a 14.5 barrel in the same profile as the Sionics.

Being made by the same parent company and does not mean it's made using the same process. E.g. destressing cycle, etc.
Not sure if there is a Sionics rep here anymore...
But with Robar closing, will the NP3 BCG’s still be available?

Coating Technologies, which operates at the same address, will remain open, and was most likely the providers of NP3 BCGs to begin with, as they were the industrial side of things; AFAIK, Robar was the consumer side of the house that got spun out to handle individual orders, and did not actually have any licences or IP claims on any of the coatings they provided. Pure speculation on my part, but I would think that any company that could put in a decent minimum order would have no issue continuing to get NP3'd items.

What I heard was
“Robbie has an independent company, separate from Robar, where they do metal finishing, including NP3 work on individual industry parts.
He's been finishing misc. parts such as belt buckles, Ping putter heads and even some parts used they have used on the space shuttle.
He's out of the firearms industry completely and no longer works on firearms.”
I’m not going to put the name of the person quoted here, he or one of his team members could chime in if they want this credited.
I’m not sure if he means that firearms “industry parts” can still be done but one-off orders for firearms consumers are no longer.

Per the owner of Robar, who is a very good friend of mine, Robar closed its doors on September 1st. Coating Technologies is still open and doing business with industry clients. They do not, however, do individual orders.
