With BRT reduced port gas tubes, I think you can pair the right gas tube to a standard Sionics 11.5" barrel and still end up with what you want. But I agree with you. Take my money, PA...

Primary Arms (no affiliation) has 12% off purchases over $200. Some Sionics uppers are in the low to mid $400s plus tax. The 11.5 upper I’m looking at is $431 plus tax....

I picked up their barebones LPK (no grip, trigger or trigger guard) over the Christmas period. Just put it in a lower yesterday and I have to say I was impressed. Roll pin for the bolt catch was a breeze (my usual struggle), the takedown pins have a great feel and the ambi safety is a really nice add to the kit. For what I paid it’s an absolute no brainer and will be my go to LPK from here on out.

On a separate note, does Sionics now use Ned Christiansen's Optimized Carrier Key Screw (OCKS)? I took a look at the staking when the BCG came in and the fasteners reminded me of them.

...the 16" patrol III lightweight upper is sold out. I would have been SORELY tempted to grab one if that was the case. saved my wallet

No, at least not on the ones I have, so if they are it is something very new. The only one I know uses them for sure is FCD.
