I've been wanting to get a flash hider to replace the standard slant brake.
YHM makes a version of the Phantom for 7.62 AK's.
It's an effective device for the AR15, is it just as effective in 7.62x39?

Whenever we're talking about flash suppression it's more than just the device that contributes to it. Both ammunition selection and barrel length are big contenders in the fight.

With that said, yes, a Phantom is going to certainly perform better than the standard [terrible, useless] slant brake.

Dave, concerning ammo selection what are your thoughts on ammunition that utilizes the Russian 8M3 projectile? Currently its being found in the TulAmmo 124 gr HP offerings. According to:

While I'm not sure what the OP used here is a simple solution that includes instructions and all mounting hardware.
