Comparison pics of the Trijicon SRS and EOTech XPS

Got to handle an SRS today. Did some comparison against the EOTech XPS. When you first look at the SRS, you think it is pretty large (in photo's anyway), but when you actually put it up next to another optic, it isn't all that much bigger.

I did a little testing with the dot intensity. While indoors, I turned up the power to a bright setting. Then I walked outside (full sun) and watched to see if the dot changed intensity, flickered or anything else weird. Nothing. I then removed the battery while watching the dot. Again, no change in the dot's intensity. Pretty impressive that it can go from drawing from the battery to using the solar panel and STILL maintain the power threshold it was at.

I can't help but notice the internal threads in one of the pictures. Do you think this is for a future magnifier option? Or just how they get the lens into place?

I can only list MAP in public. Those prices are:

    SRS01: 841.50
    SRS02: 913.75 (pictured above)

Grant any chance that someone with an astigmatism checked out the dot shape?

No (as we don't allow those people to come around).

My guess is that the SRS will give people with astigmatism less issues than say an Aimpoint or EOTech.
