Comparison pics of the Trijicon SRS and EOTech XPS

I can't help but notice the internal threads in one of the pictures. Do you think this is for a future magnifier option? Or just how they get the lens into place?

I'm just now discovering this site now - Did a google search and this thread was one of the first to come up (even thought its a few months old).

Anyone know of some more detailed "no wash out" indoor info?

What's the battery life if ya just leave it on inside of the gunsafe?

For many, the Reflex based optics from Trijicon were the "it" optic for no other reason than their durability. They had one major downside though, low light. They reticle would wash out.

With these, that issue is gone.

With that said, if you have an Aimpoint (and like it), I wouldn't switch. If you are an EOTech user, I would look at this optic. If you don't own an optic, this is a good one to think about IMHO.

So Grant if it was your one and only RDS, which would you choose between the SRS and a CompM4? I'm struggling with this right now.

SRS won't have wash out since you manually adjust brightness. Also pretty sure I read 3yr battery life, but coupled with the solar cell that could easily last 6-7yrs.
