Just snagged a certified pre-owned sig 228
At the shop I work at today. Looks brand new
Hopefully should be able to shoot it after a permit
Class this weekend.
It will be a big change for me as I've shot a Glock exclusively
For the past 2-3 years.

Enjoy it. It is one of my favorite DA/SA pistols. They can be scary accurate - what SIG made a rep for to begin with, combat grade reliability with target grade accuracy.
Enjoy it I am lucky to have two of them.
If you every want to get rid of it you will not have a problem with buyers...
I use Ameriglos's Defoor sights on mine. Really good sights.

I bought a 228 as cheap practice for my '95 model 229 in 357SIG. I have updated both guns with E-grip and SRT.
now they're both like my 226.![]()
never push a wrench...
I love the 228 platform. It's a little heavy for a carry gun but on the range it's a beast. Enjoy!
The 228 is one of the best fitting handguns I've owned. The trigger will take some getting used to compared to your Glock, but it will be just as reliable.
I love the P228. The DA/SA takes practice to master, but is a great gun and I like it the way it comes "ready" from the factory, sights included.
I got a 229 recently to complement the 226 I've had for years. I went with the factory night sights (made by Trijicon I think) and the DAK trigge set up.
Personally, I prefer having the same trigger pull with every shot vs the heavy-light-light trigger of traditional DA/SA.
I also went with the Hogue G10 grips as they are really thin.

Wow! A P228, one of my first handguns! Congrats! Post pics!
