Nice video. I'd like to see a side by side with their 115 grain load as well as a 230 grain .45 FMJ. Nothing like real world video statistics to keep an argument simple and effective.

Picking nits, but what's up with that backstop? Are straw bales sufficient?

That was an awesome test of that round, which happens to be my preferred carry ammo.

Great test, and great results. The 124 grain +P round is what I carry in my 9mm carry gun, so it’s nice to see that it actually performs well in tests like this. Not that I ever had doubts about the round, but it’s nice to see some real life performance on test materials other than ballistic gel.

It appears the fine work of Dr. Roberts and other reputable testing operatoins (RCMP, FBI-BRF to name two) just isn't, ahem, penetrating.

Oh well, it is nice to know about the "real life" performance of the 9mm, 124 gr. +P Gold Dot--that it is an excellent carry round for a real-life attacking gallon-jug of water wearing armor consisting of a decapitated pig's head (brains removed) covered by four layers of denim.

    Dude you need to relax

I never once said anything about Doc GKRs tests or any other tests not being up to par. The whole reason I chose to carry the 124 gr +P Gold Dot was based on Doc GKR's test results. It's just nice to occasionally see how these rounds perform through things like actual skin, tissue, and bone, even if it is only a pig.

I think next time you should read a little more before you decide to act like a smart ass and put words in people's mouths

I've see posted where some tote shooting frozen chickens wrapped in duct tape as "a great, real life, test as opposed to shooting ballistics gel".

They don't know the story behind the use of ballistics gel so they think that shooting chickens is more "true to life".

Me neither. Not sure what a hogs head is supposed to simulate...

Im sure a pane of autoglass is much tougher barrier than a hogs head.
