Clyde Barrow's ("Bonnie & Clyde") 1911 Up For Auction

Nothing particularly notable about this WW1 vintage U.S. Government 1911 other than they pulled it out of Clyde Barrow's waistband after he and Bonnie Parker were shot to death by law officers in 1934.

Certainly would make an interesting conversation starter.

That is about as cool as it gets. Any bets on how much it fetches?
I would guess six digits but have no idea. I am looking forward to following that auction...

    Thanks for sharing!

Carried by Barrow and then owned by Frank Hamer. Be interesting to see what it brings. Wish I had the cash to make a viable bid.

That will easily fetch 6 figures, imo.

Before I spent that much on it, I would want real SOLID proof that it is in fact that gun.

Depending on the collector it could push farther than that, IMHO. The history is priceless on a piece like that.

A man can dream. If only I had that kind of money. I'd put rounds down range in that gun too. Not saying it would be a regularly shot gun, but it would see range time more than just show and tell.
