For someone who can't, shouldn't, or won't remove the castle nut, the Tango Down PR4 is the A-answer IMO.

For the front, there are options to mount to the top rail, and options to mount to the side. IME those that limit rotation, and do it at stops 45* to the bore (as opposed to inline with the bore and 90* to it) are best for the forward mount. One such that attaches to the top rail and that I have had good luck with is the Viking Tactics.

I'm biased, but this is a simple and solid solution. You can check the review in the Tactical Gear sub forum, https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=104654

The PR-4 is a solid mount offering QD sockets, but it's also the most expensive clamp on mount out there. You lose the center QD socket if you want to run your stock in close leaving the user to commit to the 3 or 9 o'clock position. Another factor is that adding hook hardware to the OP's VCAS is about 1/3 the cost of PB sling swivels. If going this route, I'd get the PB swivels from BFG or another top company as these are very precise parts to machine.

You didn't stake your castle nut? Or just on the other side?

    This...

    or this...

I've used the 2nd one before and it worked well. Both (along with pretty much all the solutions suggested here) will prevent you from locking your stock in the most closed position.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Many MIL and and LE cannot remove the receiver extension and replace the end plate, this'll be popular.

Do any of the above buffer tube bolt on options, allow the device to rotate?

Here's a thread that has some info on the DD and Troy bolt on rear sling mounts. The Troy mount bolts on over the castle nut and has ears/lugs on either side where the QD sockets are machined into. These ears protrude forward on either side of the receiver and would prevent rotation of the mount. I don't know if that was a design feature or it just worked out that way. If your castle nut is staked properly and the mount is securely tightened, you won't have a problem.

Take a look at Impact Weapons sling hardware. They make excellent quality products.

A 45 may not expand but it will never be smaller than .45!!

Not being truely happy with any of these solutions. I decided to replace my blue force gear sling loop on the handguard with a daniel defence QD loop. So that should fix that portion of my wants. As far as the stock attatchment. I think I will just live with looping the sling through the stock for now.
Thank you for the help though and will keep these options in mind if it continues to bother me

I run one of these on my rifle at work because we cannot make any permanent modifications to the weapons such as move castle nut. It is very easy to mount and is rock solid. You can get it with or without the QD swivel.
