In my experience, its still fairly lucky if you notice some of the major calibers in stock on gunbot and are able to jump on the corresponding link and actually check out. If it lists AIM as having 9mm, its gone so fast that your too late by the time gubot is pulling the stock status. Also, make sure you still use one of the major dealers because there are a couple smaller dealers on there that still operate with improper practices like showing items in stock when your really buying into a backorder.

Found this tracker. It one of many available on the web but appears to have accurate information.

I miss the .20 per round averages.
Silver State Armory has .223/5.56, 6.8spc, and .308/7.62 in stock. Prices are the new normal. I've purchased from the past and had good luck.

Hey guys, looking 1k min of .223 5.56 is ok but perfer .223 (training class) as it is cheaper.
Jan 2014: Bought 8000 rounds of FMJ practice .40 ammo from LAX ammo, once reloaded brass. Ammo was beautiful and not one failure in 4000 rounds so far. Comes in a brand new ammo can. $265.00/1000. 29 cents a round delivered. Cans were packed individually and arrived undamaged. Very pleased with these guys.
