    S&W M&P9c part replacement intervals?

I use an M&P9c for IDPA and CCW, last week at about 3500 rounds it would occasionally fail to reset the striker every 3rd or 4th round. Different mags, Fed champion, Speer GD +P all did the same. However when I rack the slide slowly back, just before the round ejected, it reset the striker fully. After replacing the sear spring, and trigger bar spring it's gone 400 rounds without issue.

Is this normal for a compact handgun? Is the wear accelerated on a smaller package? I dryfire with a snap caps frequently, and have the apex dcaek installed. Oh and big thanks to apex, they got the parts to my door within 2 days.

Thanks for your input and time.

    RDM,

Do you have the small sear plunger or the large?

If you have the small sear spring and plunger replace your sear housing block with a newer unit.

The large sear spring and plunger fixed the sear flutter issue.
