    600 Series Buttstock?

    I need some help guys.
I think I have a 600 series Colt aluminum Butt stock ('67 to the '80s?) but I'm not sure how to tell if it is "real." It is coated and has a slight shine to it.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Can you post some pictures?

An aftermarket stock of the same style has a pointier front edge on the sling loop.

Some Colt stocks are marked NN under the latch but this is not a guarantee.

There is a "1" and then "NN". Does that make it GTG?

Thanks. Is there any collector value or would it rate as just a "neat thing to have."

It depends on how good of condition it is.

Alot of people get all hyped up on theses stocks and pay too much for them. They aren't hard to find.
