Walther sets up shop in the U.S.

So S&W will continue to push the P22,PK380, and obviously the M&P 22, but Walther will be on its own for its center fire pistols and any other projects in the U.S. in time. This should be great for parts availability on the new PPQ craze, anyone have any ideas on how it will effect prices of Walther parts, mags, or firearms?

Well,If they can make mags here to the same level of quality as the Meggar mags they currently use, I'd think they'd cost less, as they would'nt have to be imported, pay duties etc, In my case that really dosen't matter, I picked up extra mags when my income tax return came in, I' pretty much set in that dept. Let's just hope they don't make the same mistakes that SIG did, when they set up shop here...

That can only be good news. I've always wanted to see Walther on their own inside the USA; instead of having S&W stamped all over their shit. I'd think they are trying to take this opportunity to capitalize on their recent success.

Their timing is rather good if they can swoop in and provide the support of their PPQ platform as the lack of widespread parts or even a strictly Walther presence in the U.S. was on of its biggest drawback if not the largest issue it had for widespread adoption.
