Buck Mossie is a former United States Marine Corps Infantryman who
deployed to both Southeast and Southwest Asia with the 13th Marine
Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable. He currently is a
member of a large Metropolitan Law Enforcement Agency in Southern
California, where in addition to having worked a variety of field
assignments, he has also served as a California Peace Officers
Standards and Training (CA P.O.S.T.) Certified Master Firearms
Instructor for over a decade.



Mossie Tactics Level 3 Pistol Class - SoCal - August 25th- 26, 2012

This class is Pistol 3 ~ Everything in Pistol 2 taken to a higher level. Introduction to different advanced skill drills. This is a master class level and above course; regardless of your skill level you will be challenged.

Class equipment requirements are the same as Pistol 1 & 2. The ammunition requirement is 1000 rounds. It is strongly recommended that you attend Pistol 1 & 2, prior to your participation in Pistol 3.


Primary Instructor: Buck Mossie

- Class dates: Saturday August 25th-Sunday August 26th

- Cost: $375

- Location: Newhall, CA Oak Tree Gun Club

- Class size: Maximum ten students

Weapon & Gear Class Requirements:

- 5 dummy rounds in the appropriate caliber
- Eye and Ear Protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
- Serviceable handgun of at least 9mm Para caliber
- Serviceable holster
- Minimum one double magazine pouch / Ability to carry minimum of two magazines
- Minimum of three serviceable magazines (5 is better)
- 1000 rounds of ammunition
- Hand held flashlight or weapon light and spare batteries for night fire
- Suitable range wear depending on the season
- Good attitude

I registered for this class several months ago.

There's a discrepancy on the ammo count for this class. In post #1 it says 1,000 rounds and 300 rounds. So, which is it?

Also, what are the daily hours?

The course will start at 12:00 on Saturday until 8:00 and the complete schedule of hours and relevant info you will need will be sent in an email to you shortly.

Thanks for the clarification on the ammo.

Saturday hours: 12:00pm-8:00pm? Doesn't give us much time for the night shoot considering the sun sets at 7:30pm next Saturday!

Ramzar--an email with exact course hours and information will be provided to you next week --I'm not sure what time Buck will end the class at this exact moment but we will get that time to when when I can directly speak with him. I know that nightfire will be covered so rest assured the class will go until the hour that is dark enough
