The latest news is that it supposedly was a bad batch of 50 bolts. The dealer in question has made replacement parts available - no questions asked. The manufacturer is Luvo.

Not going to happen. First, nothing wrong with their piston one, from their main market point of view. Second, when want to have HK, you must accept price tag. It is like wanting to have BMW with Skoda price tag. It just does not work that way.

    WTH is a Skoda?

that said HK is honestly overpriced for the neutered rifle they offer to lowly civilians, I mean cmon a completely unlined barrel that wouldnt last 4 days in my area without having a ton of rust.

Do you really not know how to spell and use punctuation correctly? Or is this some of that kiddy-text shorthand that all the cool kids use?

Yeah, Skoda is a brand of car that we've never heard of. Just like Lancia, Dacia, Citroen, Peugeot, Opel, Vauxhall

Skoda is VW technology in cheap envelope.

As to this poor HK barrel - I have unlined barrel in mu MR223 as well. Store it in humid basement of old building on ex-swamp. We have huge problem with water and wet walls there. When I put JP/Cooley comp on my MR223 it started to show rust after a week. Same for outside of barrel of my Stag.

But MR223 barrel did not show any sign of it, either external or internal after 4 years spent there. I have other one, that sits here for almost a year and is spotless.

Do you live on Venus or near chemical plant in India?

No but i do live in SE texas about 10 minutes from the ocean where the temp is always 80 at night and 99 during the day with 80-100% humidity at all times, it takes hours for things to rust here.

When i installed my barrel mounted sling mount the pins that hold it rusted overnight because i forgot to put slip on them.

To me a CL or nicor treatment is important in the bore.

Also I could maybe see the price of the HK if it offered a huge upgrade and came with great CS, sadly CS is not something HK is known for.
