My brother got his back with a brand new forged lower. They also threw in two 30rd Troy Battlemags, Troy's two point sling, Troy shirt, Troy hat, Troy sight tool, THREE rail sections for the Alpha Rail, two QD swivels, and perhaps even more. Easily $200+ worth of accessories.

+1 for Troy's customer service. The forged lower drops all magazines free now, including Pmags. The lower looks great also.

    It appears pretty similar.
15 inch alpha rail instead of 13 inch.
Troy seems to have changed the rail a bit. Check out the picture on the TS site of just the carbine. Looks like some extra holes to save weight under the top rail.

"So what happened to all the Troy Carbines after Dick's Sporting Goods backed-out?"

    Looks like some here:
    http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1TROYM4
Looks like all the same marketing materials (wording and picture) as accompanied the original "black Friday" sale Carbines.
    (check the price... )

    Troy is a shooter

I have 2500 rounds through the rifle. Not a single issue. I run thermold mags no issues in or out. I have installed Gisselle single stage that breaks at 3.1 pounds. Great CQB handling. Will shoot sub MOA groups at 100 yds with reloads. I do not think there is more gun for the money on the market.

When you all shipped the lower back, it was just the lower, NO Trigger, No Grip etc... Right?
