    Micro vs 30mm

I am looking at getting a red dot sight. I just can't make my mind up between the Micro Dot, or the standard 30 mm tube. Which do you guys prefer and why? I've owned a Vortex Sparc before and sold it because I didn't like that it was Micro, but think that the power switch interfeared with my vision. I have now been looking at the Primary Arms Micro and it looks much better for FOV. Which have you guys settled on?

I prefer the micro (Aimpoint variety, the H-1's are relatively affordable) since you're using it with both eyes open anyway, the size of the tube doesn't affect speed, mostly weight.

I love my t-1, but if I was in the market right now, I would probably get a aimpoint pro (can get one from mounts plus for 360 right now) and use the money saved on ammo. The micros are nice with a little less bulk, but there is nothing wrong with the 30mm tubes

I went ahead and ordered the PRO. I got it for such a good price from Mounting Solutions Plus that I could break even if I don't like it. I really think I will though. I looked at EOtech, but felt that the reticle was too busy for my taste. I also like the turn on leave on with the Aimpoint. Looking forward to it.

I completely spaced on the PRO - best optic value out there, hands down, and also does away with having to decide between absolute and lower 1/3 cowitness on the smaller tubes.

Yea, I didn't like how the small tube got cluttered easily. Also, if my head wasn't perfect it was difficult getting the dot on target with speed.Hoping the Pro changes that.

I have both a T-1 and a PRO, and I like them both equally. I went back and forth through 2 1-4x scopes, and 3 Eotech's. Mainly my eyes are to blame, but for some reason the 2moa dot on the aimpoints works with my astigmatism. I also didn't like the bulkiness of the 1-4x scope.

Aimpoint 2moa's ended up being my Savior.

I have a T-1, PRO, and a few Eotechs. I like the Eotechs and the PRO equally. I don't care for the T-1 at all, largely because of the small tube, and in part because of annoying internal reflections in some light conditions and angles. I find the size and weight to be overrated and see no reason to use the smaller tube since that particular compromise doesn't make up for what I perceive to be its other disadvantages.
