    Bullet trajectory help

See pic for visual... So when you compute out Everything and it says for 500 yds the elevation is 6.47MOA. My scope is 1/4 MOA/click. So how many clicks would I need to move my turret? Would it be 6.47 clicks or 26? I may look like an idiot here but the way I came up with 26 is it says 6.47 MOA so thats 6.47 inches and my turret is 1/4/click MOA so 4 clicks per MOA 6x4 is 24 plus the .47 makes almost 26 clicks. Please help me out guys I'm so lost.

It's 26 clicks, but why are you trying to think in clicks? Doesn't the elevation turret have visual markings and / or some tactile indicator every X MOA?

Also remember that MOA is an angular unit of measure. 1 MOA is 1.047 inches at 100 yards, 2.094 inches at 200 yards, 3.141 inches at 300 yards, etc.

Here, read through this and the subsequent parts (this is part 1). Primal Rights is Orkan's place and a great resource:

By clicks I meant that each lil turn the knob clicks

Yes....but he's saying why count clicks when you can actually just dial in 6.47moa on your turret. Much easier than trying to feel for and count all those little clicks.

    Been there done that.....LOL!

If you really wanna simplify the process make the switch over to a Mil/Mil set up!

He didn't mention what reticle he was using, but if he's got MOA adjustments and happens to have a MOA reticle then there's really no increase in simplicity by going to MIL/MIL. The benefit to switching is if you have a reticle that doesn't match your knobs, such as a mil-dot reticle with 1/4 MOA knobs. In that case switching to a MOA/MOA or MIL/MIL setup will simplify things.
