They look good but sounds like they aren't as durable as the Bowers group wraps I bought. Back to back rapid fire mags did fine with the Bowers product for me. The EA description reads like it would discourage that.

I'm surely in the minority, but $45-50 for a piece of cordua and some insulator doesn't actually seem like a great deal to me. This kinda seems like a $30 part to me. Plus, EI doesn't list the weight of the wrap. Others I've seen at 5-8oz are far too heavy. Maybe for the 762-RC I wouldn't care too much, but I haul the 556-RC around, haven't needed a wrap yet.

I've had my SOCOM-762MINI for right at a month now.

I've been able to use it on my DD Mk18 at a CSAT class and general dicking off at the range. I also just got my SLR-107CR back from the machinist and ran it with this can yesterday for 3-gun. I am very pleased. It is stupidly quiet for what it is.

Very nice! I went with the black RC too. How was running a suppressor during a carbine class? I've been wanting to make a return trip to Gunsite for the carbine class and was wondering if an SBR w/suppressor is frowned upon?

A buddy of mine just got back a few months ago and at least +90% had the standard 16" or 14.5"+pinned FS M4-style carbines. My 11.5" SBR + suppressor makes the barrel right at 16" OAL. The upper is stupid-light, 11.5" thin profile barrel, 0.625" gas block (SLR Sentry 6 Adj.) with a 6oz BCM Keymod Rail.

Reason for the suppressor is hearing. I usually have to double-up (plugs + muffs) when shooting AR's, which makes a class difficult since it's hard to hear instructions. I'm ok being next to someone on the line with just muffs, but being behind the gun shooting makes it just loud enough to be uncomfortable for me.

I would also plan on bringing a regular 16" upper or another 11.5" SBR w/flash hider to be a good neighbor (I have a brake on my primary suppressed upper).

I did it just to get some time on irons with my MK18. The can was primarily for the benefit of anyone else nearby like my training partner.

I've never been to Gunsite but in most of the circles I've been lucky enough to run in and the training that I've been to the only things that would really draw a frown are a poor attitude or someone who is clueless how to operate their equipment and keep things running.

Training is a fairly serious investment for most folks myself included. I've seen several 'special children' that have held things up before for the rest of us either by bringing shitty guns, crappy ammo or having some new-fangled widget or doo-dad that didn't/wouldn't function. Issues can come up for anyone or anything but when they are recurring and continuous then there's a serious issue and it will likely drag on the rest of the class. Make sure you understand how to keep things running efficiently. You'll learn more too.

In case anyone was curious regarding how well SF did with the Total Signature Reduction.... This is a pretty accurate amount of flash that was coming off the 20" 308 using M118LR with the 762-RC. This was at a long range precision class, during the night shoot. Targets from 250-650, estimated/unknown ranges, it was VERY PLEASANT to shoot with the SF. My spotter was able to see more trace and make for better wind calls because the gun wasn't shaking anything, it was easier to hear the report on steel, I could communicate with my spotter the entire time right before and right after the shot, I was able to see exactly where I broke the shot and call it sometimes before the bullet even hit the target (800y-1000y) which means the gun was staying perfectly in place, a suppressor is a MUST for precision shooting imo.

When my spotter shot, there was definitely a shake in my spotting scope. Most people were shooting 20-24" 308 so no one was getting flashed out, but there was obvious flash on everyone but me. Everyone in the class was starting to see the advantages of shooting suppressed. I'm VERY glad I went with the 762-RC.

Next morning at 0630, breakfast as available.

Anyone that's taken any training knows that no matter how organized your gear and vehicle start off, about 3 days in everything is everywhere.

    Thanks for the review Noodles.

I hope to get my 762-rc to some suppressor only night shoots at my local range in the coming month.

Although it isn't as quiet as some other cans I've used, the blowback is non - existent.
