Are you refering to the Magpul polymer furniture getting hot by sitting out in the sun? Metal, yes, I understand that, but polymer? I can't recall having a black MP furniture rifle getting so hot sitting in the sun that I couldn't hold it. Just asking. Bare hands or with flight gloves.

I'm not saying I can't hold it, I'm saying that if I can choose between something that gets less hot and something that gets more hot, I'll choose the less hot, given otherwise identical performance.

Just like weight. If I can choose a lighter wait item that otherwise performs like a heavier item, I'll choose the lighter item.

I actually prefer they not match exactly. To me it helps break up the outline of the rifle which is a key reason for earth tone colors in the first place. Besides, unless you use all furniture from the same manufacturer, the various FDE's won't match exactly anyway.
Before you suggest that licensing, background checks, or other restrictions for the 2nd Amendment are reasonable... Apply those same ideas to the 1st and 4th Amendments. Then tell me how reasonable they are.

They also offer an OD version.
Grant, do you or will you have the OD version?

News flash! At least you won't have to paint your AR now and you can instantly become the "talk" of the range.

These guns look better than in pics. I saw one and wanted it. Very cool IMHO. I like it to not match too. I like the scars that have four colors. Badass look.

Paid $1160ish for mine. I swaped the MOE stock for the STR, added a magpul illumination kit, and MSA. I plan on sending a Form 1 off as soon as I get an extra $200. Haven't decided on a barrel length or if I want to do a MK18 clone. I'm looking for a cheap KAC 300m micro site right now.

That is a great looking rifle! Colt did a great job with the color tones for sure.
