Strait dust cover as in no rail or special ball cuts. Metal parts and not plastic

Those parts have been replaced by polymer versions for a while now. The trigger is polymer covered steel. The steel trigger is out of the box compatible with the Wolff INS trigger return spring. If you are intersted in that.

It is my understanding that the slanted dustcover frames were designed for increased durability for the .40 cal 96. Reportedly some early 96s with the straight dustcover had durability issues. I've owned 96s with both the straight and slanted dustcover but never shot them enough to notice a difference.
As noted in your Google picture, the frames with the slanted dustcovers also have a slight radius in backstrap that slightly decreases the size of the grip.
