Nullus amicus melior - Nullus inimicus perior
I had a glock 23 that I could convert to a Glock 19 with a lone wolf conversion barrel. You could use the 9mm mag for extra reliability. if you need any thing else just ask.
the G17 barrel has a different outer diameter - it won't fit the G22 properly - it'll be very loose.
Wait. Lets start from the begining. What are you trying to do.
Are you trying to convert a .40 cal to 9mm?
Do you have the glock 17 barrel?
I have been on a local forum where someone took a 9mm glock barrel, I want to say it was a 17, but could have been a 19 barrel, and put it in the respect sized .40 glock and shot it. It fired, they claimed accuracy was par with the standard barrel and that it was flawless, that said, their idea of flawless reliability is 20 rounds without jamming and as far as accuracy it was likely seven meters considering the forum it was on, but I am on there to try to find deals on guns and accessories, not for the intelligence or know how of those on it. So yes, I can be done, but if you are going to do that a conversion barrel is likely going to be similarly priced so that would get my vote.
Do you know the OD size difference between the barrels. I talked to a Glock armourer and he said they could be switched out. He also mentioned the Glock 17/19 can not be turned to a Glock 22/23.
I bought my OD Glock 23 with the Lone wolf barrel .40 cal to the 9mm coversion. It came with a couple of 19 and 23 mags. It had night sights and was basically brand new. I got it at a good deal around 530ish IIRC.
You will need a conversion barrel. Storm Lake makes them. We intend to offer a fitted barrel option in these conversion barrels from SL.

I run a Glock 23 from time to time with a Lone Wolf 9/40 stainless conversion barrel. I haven't had any issues with it other than it is a little pickier in feeding some reloads- chamber is tighter than a standard Glock 9 if I had to make a guess.
