nosler 64grain bsb ( bonded solid base)

The bullet used in winchesters q3313 loading for le and fbi (if this info is wrong please correct me) is available as a second from shooters pro shop. They are being sold in bags of 50. There is not many left only 8 bags. I just ordered 10 bags. This looks like a good bullet to replace the .224 tbbc.

    Just a heads up.

This is also the bullet used by SSA in their 64gr bonded.

That's not what ssa said. I sent them an e-mail and they said the 64 ppt is made by them.

I emailed them earlier this year and was told it was a nosler bullet. Email was signed by Jeff.

As was mine just got it today.

The ssa website even says that it is an ssa bullet, and nosler description of the bsb says that it was specifically made for LE. It looks like winchester has a civilian load to. Which makes sense due to there relationship ct (combined technologies), but i highly doubt ssa is using a bullet that was developed for winchester by nosler. Nosler will not even sell as a component unless it is a second.

Weird. I wonder if it changed. I went and looked at my email, Dec. 11 of 2011. I remember scouring Nosler's website looking. Would be interesting to section the bullets from each loading to see if they are similar.

I'm somewhat convinced it is a nosler bullet after kicking around their website. Nosler is one of SSA's partners with Sierra and Barnes.

Could be maybe they have a non disclosure in place now. If you have any of the 64ppt that you could section, when i get the bsb bullets in ill section one and post pics to compare.

It also could be nosler is making them for ssa but they have a slightly different construction so ssa can say it is there bullet.

They both look very similar the only difference i see is the canellure on the bsb.

I just went through almost every page on the website. Where did you find this info?

I could see it being possible as they use a large amount of projectiles from those companies.

I base it on the available data that they use Sierra, Barnes and nosler fr their loads, and Nosler is the only company of that group making a bonded bullet. Nosler lists SSA as a partner on their site as well. Many of the other SSA loads claim the accubond bullet. I guess this does not make it the same as the Win load, but the evidence suggests to me Nosler makes this bullet.
