    Questions about fatigue

Been thinking about going to a doctor on this one. I have been really fatigued lately. Have a lot less energy than I used to and its started about 2 months ago. Its really affecting my work outs and even my day to day life. Not sure if its a sleep issue, or nutrition or something more serious.
    Any ideas.

I was in the same situation about three years ago. After going through all of the normal testing with all results being normal my doctor did not know what to do next. My wife was researching the symptoms I had and came across an article about Celiac. I asked my doctor about it, got a blood test and endoscopy and the results were 100% positive for Celiac. I started a gluten free diet and my energy levels shot through the roof. I did this out of necessity and not because of some fad diet. There are many reasons for fatigue this is just my experience.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

I ask because I went through the same issue. I had blood tests done and my testosterone levels checked. Tests can back way low for my age. I started therapy in 2008 and let me tell you, it's like I'm a new man. Energy is great and just plain better mood. I would look into it. I'm 39 by the way

Are you working out a lot? If so, it could be Overtraining. I've gone through it several times, and the symptoms sound the same.

I change shifts every two weeks and travel out of district and feel like I have aged 10 more years. Do you switch shifts or do mids then try and do your days off like you don't work mids? I got a scrip for Provigil that changed me for the better. I don't take it everyday, just when I am switching into or out of mids. It helps a lot.

Also have you started to snore? If so get a sleep study, you might not be getting deep enough sleep.

My workout is just running and the eliptical machine depending on how I am feeling. I don't change shifts but on Saturdays I usually adjust my shift so I get off at 10pm instead of 2am and I wake up at 500 am to drive to shooting matches. I usually only get about 4 to 5 hours the night I do this. I do it almost every week.

Diet is something to look at also. Quality fuel in the correct combinations and quantities makes a huge difference and the older you get the more sensitive your body is to bad fuel.
